The race that never was

With Cheltenham in full flow this week and a few Irish winners coming through lets cast our thoughts back to the 1993 Grand National for 'The Race That Never Was'.

John White was the jockey on Esha Ness that day and after the horses set off after what turned out to be a second false start a small group failed to realise what was going on and continued around the gruelling two laps of The Aintree course.

After passing the post in first place the joy soon turned to dissappointnment as White was told the race was void and he had actually won nothing.  Heartbreaking stuff, watch the video and enjoy, if thats possible!!
