Making History the Hannah Craig Way

Hannah Craig did us all proud with her heroics at the London Olympics in the Canoe (K1) Slalom event.  Emulating the achievement of compatriot Eoin Rheinisch at Beijing four years ago Hannah made it to the final round becoming the first Irish woman to do so.

There was a nervous wait as the two competitors who finished behind her in the semi final round lodged complaints which were upheld to allow Hannah a chance for a medal.  Any hopes of a medal were dashed though as Hannah made contact with three gates on the way down the course for a 10th place finish.  A remarkable achievement all the same and hopefully four years from now maybe a medal can be secured in Rio de Janeiro.
